LG Optimus Black & LASALLE Collaborates for Audi Fashion Festival

13 May 2011, Singapore – In conjunction with the Audi Fashion Festival 2011 season, LG Electronics announces the launch of LG Optimus Black smart phone. LG Electronics is also the Official Mobile partner for this year’s AFF.

The LG Optimus Black boasts the brightest smart phone in the world with a 4-inch 700 nits NOVA display. It is also the world’s slimmest 9.2mm mobile device that weighs only 109g.  With the LG Optimus Black, you can now see the screen clearly be it indoors or outdoors under the strong sunlight.

We did a test today at the Fashion + Tech exhibition at the AFF’s Style Pavilion outside ION Orchard today in the bright sunlight. I turned the brightness on my iPhone to maximum and put it next to the LG Optimus Black and made a comparison. I’ll let the photo below do the talking.

Its ultra slim body and slick lines makes the phone an ideal fashion accessory. Featuring Optimus UI 2.0, the phone lets you directly access messages, emails and missed calls from the locked screen with just one single finger tap while the Gesture UI offers more intuitive commands, including lifting, shaking and tapping, for taking calls.

You can visit the exhibition at the AFF’s Style Pavilion at ION Square (Basement 4) from today till 26 May. Preview LASALLE’s graduating batch’s fashion designs. 22 students were also commissioned by LG to design mobile phone covers for the LG Optimus Black. You can vote for your favourite design at the Style Pavilion.

The LASALLE Graduate Fashion Show

This show will highlight the fashion works of 26 graduating LASALLE students at 5pm, Sunday, 15 May 2011, staged at Tent@Orchard, Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. Here models will present the LG Optimus Black together with the students’ fashion design works, creating an inspirational synergy of smart technology and stylish fashion on the runway.
