6 May 2011, Singapore – International travellers recently ranked hotels, and according to the 2011 Insiders’ Select list compiled by online travel company, Expedia, 25 hotels in the Southeast Asian region have been featured in the world’s top 500. Launched in 2007, this annual list compares a vast range of hotels and resorts in terms of service and experience to determine the greatest value for the consumer.
Fairmont Singapore and Conrad Centennial Singapore were voted in the top 100 by Expedia travellers.
Tara Angkor Hotel in Cambodia was ranked as the world’s 50th best hotel.
Some of the other Southeast Asian Hotels in the Top 500 list include the Sokha Angkor Resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Bali, Indonesia’s Ayana Resort and Spa, Ayodya Resort Bali, Padma Resort Bali at Legian, Villa Sarna, Malaysia’s Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur, The Andaman Langkawi to name a few. Phuket properties include Ayara Hilltops Boutique Resort and Spa, Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, Millennium Resort Patong Phuket.
