10 February 2012, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines – Tune Hotels opens its first of seven properties in the Philippines – Tune Hotel Angeles City.
This 165-room airport hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from Diosdado Macapagal International Airport, commonly known as Clark Airfield.
The Tune Hotel Angeles City is owned and operated by Red Planet Hotels under a franchise agreement with Tune Hotels for the development of Tune Hotels in the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia.
Red Planet Chief Executive Officer, Tim Hansing, said the Angeles City property was the first of the company’s plans to expand the brand across key cities in the Philippines.
The hotel is along the hotel and restaurant stretch of Friendship Road, and is also 10 minutes by car to the Clark Freeport Zone, a former US Airbase that has been redeveloped with modern infrastructure facilities to be transformed into an airport-driven urban center perfect for the requirements of high-end IT enabled industries, aviation and logistics related enterprises, tourism and other sectors.
Angeles is approximately 80 kilometres north of Manila and can be reached within an hour by car or air-conditioned bus.
The Angeles opening will be immediately followed by a hotel in Cebu on 23 February and Ermita on 9 March. Future locations include Makati, Ortigas and Quezon City in Manila; and Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao.
Including Angeles City Tune Hotels portfolio includes ten in Malaysia, two in Bali, Indonesia, two in Thailand, two in London, England and one in the Philippines. Another 30 hotels are scheduled for opening this year in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and the UK.
Tune Hotels’ pay-as-you-use concept means guests only pay for room rates with the option of adding on other amenities like towels & toiletries, air-conditioning, in-room wifi and satellite TV service at selected hotels.
