Alila will be opening six new hotels this year. The luxury Alila brand under Commune Hotels & Resort will be expanding its portfolio into Cambodia and China and introducing Alila SCBD, a third property in Jakarta, Indonesia as well as a heritage property in India.
Cambodia
China
Three new properties in Zhejiang, Yangshuo and Tianxi are scheduled to open in the second quarter this year.
Alila Anji will be located in the heart of the Zhejiang province amidst 60,000 hectares of bamboo groves and white-tea plantations. The resort will resemble a traditional Chinese village, offering 74 villas and suites with elevated views across the lake. It will house the first Spa Alila in China with seven treatment rooms offering traditional Chinese medicine inspired treatments as well as other health, beauty and restorative treatments.
Alila Yangshuo offers 118 rooms, suites and villas and a restaurant, exhibition hall, kids club, spa, a meeting loft and library for private gatherings and an infinity pool that connects to the Li River.
Alila Tianxi Lake will overlook a look and golf course. Here there will be 68 suites and 13 villas, two restaurants, an event space, cooking studio, an indoor and outdoor pool, spa, a library and herb garden.
India
Alila Fort Bishangarh will launch in the fourth quarter in Jaipur. It is positioned on a granite hill in the Arvalli Mountain Range with a spectacular 360 degree view. The 230 year old restored Rajasthani Fort is thought to be the only one of its kind to be converted into a heritage resort. This all-suite resort offers 59 suites. Other facilities of this hotel include an outpost of a spa, two specialty restaurants, an all-day coffee lounge, a bar and cigar room, wine cellar and library. Down the hill is the pool, pool terrace and juice bar, fitness centre and a ‘Play Soldiers Club’ for children.
Indonesia
Alila SCBD is scheduled to open in second quarter this year offering 227 contemporary rooms and suites including the Executive Suites on the top floor with access to an exclusive lounge. It will be Alila’s third property in Jakarta and will be located in the heart of Jakarta’s Financial District, next to Indonesia Stock Exchange with access to corporate offices, shopping and entertainment facilities.
The hotel will be home to the first South East Asian outposts of the Hakkasan, Sake no Hana and the OMNIA luxury lifestyle brands. The two new restaurants and night club will be managed by Hakkasan Group and owned by investors KJA Jakarta.

In 2017, Alila will open properties in Kuala Lumpur, Nioushoushan, Bintan, Koggala (Sri Lanka), Taihu (China). In 2018, four new properties in Sabah, Oman, Philippines and China are scheduled to open. While in 2019, two new resorts in the Philippines are expected to open in Lajala and Coron.
