SAS Upgrades Airbus A330 and A340 Long Haul Fleet

SAS Airbus, A330

SAS upgrades its cabins in seven Airbus A330/A340 aircraft featuring ultra modern yet relaxing interiors and more comfortable seats in all classes. The Scandinavian airline will also introduce a new on-demand entertainment system with large HD screens as well as WiFi Access.

Seats in SAS Go and SAS Plus will offer more storage to create extra space while all SAS Business  seats will have direct access to aisles and can be transformed into a flat bed when you can sleep comfortably on Sweden’s oldest bed manufacturer, Hästens’ bedding.

SAS launched the new service concept SAS Go & Plus in June 2013 last year with improvements in the food and beverage offering as well as adjustments of its onboard concept. SAS Plus is the all-inclusive option that comes complete with food and drinks and alcohol on board.

The first aircraft with the new cabin will be in service in early 2015 with the majority of the SAS long haul fleet with the new interior within a year. SAS is also expecting four new Airbus A330-300s in 2015 and 2016 as well as eight Airbus A350-900s to be delivered from 2018 onwards with an option for six more.
