Gwyneth Paltrow was in Singapore earlier this week for a photoshoot to launch British Airways’ new Airbus A380 service between London and Singapore.
Dressed in a floor-lengh teal dress by British designer Safiyaa and ‘sky-high’ heels by Jimmy Choo, Gwyneth Paltrow posed for a gravity-defying photo shoot on a British Airways Club World seat in the middle of the infinity pool at Marina Bay Sands.
Gwyneth Paltrow, said: “Singapore has always been a top destination on my wish list, so when British Airways approached me to help launch their impressive A380 to Singapore I couldn’t resist – it was a great opportunity, both fun and truly unique. The location for the shoot was stunning and I’m glad to finally have a photo of myself in the famous infinity pool. With my job I fly a lot, so it’s great that I can now travel to Singapore on British Airways superjumbo.”
“I’m a big fan of the local cuisine here, especially the chilli crab, and I’ve really enjoyed exploring the city and trying the amazing variety of food on offer. There’s still so much that I want to visit here and I look forward to returning!”

Later tonight, British Airways will celebrate the A380 launch with an exclusive event on the roof of Marina Bay Sands. Renowned perfumery brand Jo Malone London will be featured at the event and attendees expected include Antony Phillipson, the British High Commissioner to Singapore and leading British physicist Brian Cox.
The airline also collaborated with Projection Artworks to produce a 4D projection tracking the flight journey from London to Singapore to celebrate the launch of the A380 on the route in a one minute video. Intricate mapping and choreograph process that brought together dry ice and a 1:20 scale model of the plane was used to produce the video. Seven HD projectors were used to cover the background walls, floor and all sides of the aircraft with a D3 media server enabling the creative team to play with perspective and perceived depth.
