The official DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe serving American cuisine has opened on 2 September 2015 at L01-03 Bay Level, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (above Rasapura foodcourt near the skating rink). The cafe is operated by Kusto Lifestyle Pte Ltd and licensed by Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment.
The Cafe features a casual dining area, sandwich and salad counter, patisserie and ice-cream station.
The seating area is split into areas. One for diners and another for desserts and drinks which is connected to the merchandising area where you can also purchase DC Comics Super Heroes merchandise at the retail section.
If you want to take shots of your beverages stenciled with the super heroes, you have to order from the diner. Take away coffee is priced from S$5.90.
The menu here is conceptualised and created by local celebrity chef Eric Teo, who has served as the Executive Chef of Mandarin Oriental Singapore and won accolades as the World Gourmet Summit Executive Chef of the Year in 2006, 2008 and 2009. Chef Eric has worked with the Group Executive Chef William Choo and Head Chef David Tan to create the range of power-packed DC Comics Super Heroes themed dishes for the cafe.
Signature hamburgers here feature a choice of juicy chicken patty with grilled pineapple or savoury Wagyu beef patty with Portobello mushroom, on a bed of fresh Mesclun salad and red onions between charcoal buns with lush tapenade spread; colour sandwiches with a choice of slow cooked lobster tail, blue swimmer crab or bay shrimps, mixed with chopped tomato, red onions, spring onions, mesclun salad, and topped with the cafe’s special homemade chilli crab sauce.
Spend S$50 at the cafe and you would get a goodie bag containing merchandise worth S$50 including iconic DC Super Heroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash and other members of Justice League.
