Nicholas Ngo, 24, a Law undergraduate at NUS, won the title of Manhunt Singapore 2014 at the finale held at the new One Farrer Hotel & Spa last evening. Emerged as the winner from the 16 contestants, Nicholas was in shock when his name was called during the announcement of the winner. Probably because he did not win any of the 14 subsidiary titles announced earlier and was not expecting to win. On the same night, Choo Yew Meng, 45, business development manager for 1-Altitude was also crowned the winner for Senior Manhunt 2014.
Nicholas was once a skinny & weak kid, while Yew Meng used to be chubby & introverted. Both inspired by the bullied ugly duckling with determination and hard work, it will one day payoff and transform into a swan to become the center of attention in the crowd. They both embodied the characteristics of a Modern Man – one who believes in good causes, strong well, illustrates ambitions and is not daunted by obstacles and challenges.
There was another pleasant surprize that happened last evening. Manhunt Singapore 2014 second runner-up Wesley Ee, 23, also an undergraduate from NUS in Real Estate, with his radiant smile was crowned as Mister Asian Singapore 2014 to represent at the international finals later this year.
