Singapore Zoo celebrates Children’s Day offering activities for the kids from 4 to 5 October 2013. The Singapore Zoo’s Frozen Tundra will let kids enjoy a frosty fun time with educational activities about polar bears, the largest land predator in the world. There will also be a great seal hunt activity and kids will get the chance to work on a “happy children’s day” card together for Inuka the Polar Bear.
Snow & Tell Session
20 minutes at the Auditorium | 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am
Learn how polar bears adapt, survive and live comfortably in their cold environment. Also find out how zookeepers at the Singapore Zoo look after and engage Inuka, the resident polar bear at the Singapore Zoo.
The Great Sea Hunt
Frozen Tundra | 10am and 2pm
Hone your predatory instincts in the Forzen Tundra Great Seal Hunt. Play the role of little polar bears hunting for prey – hidden stickers around the Frozen Tundra exhibit in this case. The first 100 participants to complete their map get to win attractive prizes.
Draw for Inuka!
Frozen Tundra | 8.30am to 6pm
Here is where children can express their creativity by drawing to wish Inuka a Happy Children’s Day! Bring your drawing when visiting the Zoo and your work could possibly be displayed. If you prefer, you can draw at the Zoo itself. Materials will be available for children.
Admission fees to the Singapore Zoo are S$22 for adult and S$14 for children age 3 to 12. The Singapore Zoo is open 8.30am to 6pm.
