This holiday season from 12 November to 5 January, Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) welcomes the festive season with the annual Christmas on A Great Street Light-Up which will transform the renowned Orchard Road into a winter wonderland complete with wintry tones of blue and white, sparkling diamond and glittery stars this year.

Christmas on A Great Street Light-Up Ceremony
The light-up ceremony takes place at Shaw House Urban Plaza; Level 1 on 23 November at 6pm when President Tony Tan will mark the start of a dazzling display of lights all across Orchard Road to mark the jolly season of giving. In partnership with Celebrate Christmas in Singapore (CCIS) as well as a total of 100 student volunteers from Republic Polytechnic, ORBA will donate $1 to the Community Chest for every candle lit by members of the public in front of ION Orchard.
GPS-enabled Walking Map in Orchard Road
Get the free @Orchard mobile application and navigate your way around the bustling shopping street with ease. The GPS-enabled Walking Map offers an enhanced street-level navigation with step-by-step route instructions based on buildings and common landmarks. You can even use it in underpasses and the app taps on common digital map tools such as Google Maps and Gothere.sg
Christmas Rewards with MasterCard
From 23 November to 5 January, spend at least S$200 on your MasterCard Credit or Debit card at any of the participating malls and be rewarded with a S$10 shopping voucher. This is limited to the first 500 cardholders per week from 23 November to 20 December and on a while-stocks-last basis from 21 December to 5 January. Participating malls along Orchard Road include 313@somerset, Forum The Shopping Mall, ION Orchard, Mandarin Gallery, Ngee Ann City/Takashimaya Department Store, Orchard Central, Paragon, Shangri-La Hotel, TANGS Orchard, The Centrepoint and Wisma Atria.
In addition, MasterCard cardholders may be selected to receive a Priceless limousine ride home after a day of shopping.
Best Dressed Building Contest 2013
Malls along Orchard Road will vie for the Best Dressed Building Contest 2013 taking place from 23 November to 8 December. Vote for your favourites through the free mobile @Orchard app. Six lucky winners will walk away with S$500 worth of shopping vouchers each while three runners-up will receive S$250 worth of shopping vouchers. The list of participating malls includes Forum The Shopping Mall, Grand Park Orchard, ION Orchard, Mandarin Gallery, Ngee Ann City, Orchard Central, Paragon and Tanglin Mall.
“Season of Gifting” Charity Programme
In the spirit of giving, Official Online Media Partner Clozette will launch a charity program where over 20 gift ideas across various fashion and beauty brands will be showcased on Clozette’s Xmas 2013 microsite (www.clozette.co/xmas2013). Online users are invited to share virtual gifts via Facebook and invite their friends to HEART (like) the gifts. For every HEART received, Clozette will donate $1 to the Community Chest. All participants also stand a chance to win shopping vouchers sponsored by Orchard Central mall.
Other activities
From 17 to 23 December, yuletide performances along Orchard Road will be held at Wisma Atria, Mandarin Gallery and Tong Building. A Christmas Village will also be set up at Mandarin Gallery while interactive booths and a Boulevard of Giving will be set up at Wisma Atria.
On Christmas Eve, a mass caroling event will take place at Tong Building from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
On Christmas day, Celebrate Christmas in Singapore (CCIS) will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a Grand Christmas Concert. Participants from the region will gather for the inaugural Praise Dance Exercise as everyone dances to the beat of renowned Master Drummer from Taiwan.
