CES 2013: Sony Cyber-shot Cameras with WiFi & Enhanced Optical SteadyShot

7 January 2013, Las Vegas – Sony showcases its latest range of Cyber-shot cameras at CES 2013, packing them with features from adventure proof (water, freeze & dust) for those action-packed holidays to built-in WiFi for immediate sharing to social networks and Instant portrait retouching with new Beauty Effect.

The new Beauty Effect feature brings out the best in your portrait subjects. After shooting, the camera cleverly re-touches photos, removing skin blemishes and wrinkles for more flattering results. It can even widen the appearance of half-closed eyes, whiten teeth and deal with shiny foreheads.

In the Exmor R CMOS sensor models (WX200/WX80/WX60), Superior Auto mode recognises an even wider range of shooting situations, including tricky low-light scenes. Everything adjusted automatically for best results in daylight or dusk, with improved motion detection for better, blur-free images when your subject’s moving. The enhanced Optical SteadyShot on Exmor R CMOS models cuts the effects of camera shake for crisp, blur-free images, even when zooming. See smoother, more stable results at all zoom settings, from wide-angle landscapes to telephoto close-ups.

The new Cyber-shot cameras will be available in Asia Pacific from February 2013.
