CES 2013 – ASUS Transformer Book Uses SanDisk U100 Solid State Drive

ASUS TRANSFORMER BOOK

7 January 2013, Las Vegas (Business Wire) – The ultra-thin notebook, ASUS Transformer Book is one of the thinnest tablets running the Windows 8 operating system.  It runs on the powerful 128GB capacity SanDisk U100 Solid State Drive (SSD) with a quick boot-up, rapid application launch and improved data transfer capabilities.  The SanDisk U100 SSD in the ASUS Transformer Book is in its mSATA mini form facctor which makes the device amazingly thin.

The ASUS Transformer Book can easily be detached from the machine’s base so it can be transformed into a tablet in seconds.  The small SanDisk U100 SSD is installed in the narrow space behind the display.   It also works seamlessly with the hard-disk drive (HDD), which rests below the keyboard and offers additional storage when used as a notebook.
