Nana’s Green Tea Cafe Opens in Plaza Singapura’s New Wing

31 December 2012, Singapore – Touted as Japan’s Starbucks, Nana’s Green Tea Cafe opened in Plaza Singapura this month making Singapore its first flagship store outside of Japan and the 32nd outlet in the world.  Nana’s Green Tea Cafe only uses green teas from Kyoto, the most famous production centre of “Matcha” in Japan.

So the next time you are at the new wing of Plaza Singapura, enjoy the refreshing cold or warm beverages of Nana’s Green Tea Cafe.  Besides the usual beverages and desserts usually served at Nana’s Green Tea Cafe outlets anywhere, the outlet in Plaza Singapura offers quite a reasonable selection of food items which include rice and noodle dishes and rice roll bites.

Some of the signatures drinks of Nana’s Green Tea Cafe include the Matcha Siratama Parfait (S$11.80), Matcha Shiratama Float (S$9), Matcha Latte (S$7), Hoji Chocolate Latte (S$8) or Genmai Cha (S$5.50).  Some of the drinks and desserts are perfect if you have a sweet tooth.

The fine ground and powdered green tea commonly known as matcha is harvested under little direct sunlight and is also commonly used in Japan’s traditional Tea Ceremony.  Matcha has many health benefits such as controlling high blood pressure, cholesterol, reducing the risk of diabetes, physical and psychological stress, improving mood and alertness, boosting imuune system and metabolism, reducing bad breath, preventing tumour growth, reducing strokes by 21% as well as supporting anti-aging.

Nana’s Green Tea Cafe is located at The Atrium@Orchard, Plaza Singapura #03-80/82 and operates daily from 11am to 10pm with the last order at 9.30pm.
