Jurong Bird Park 30th Anniversary Photo Competition

14 December 2012, Singapore – Jurong Bird Park celebrates its 30th anniversary this year with a ‘Picture the Colour’ photo competition for the second year.  It received close to 900 entries from visitors of the park and the panel of judges included Nikon professional photographer Ms C.S. Ling, Chief Photographer of Lianhe Zaobao Mr Lee Tiah Khee, Chief photographer from The Straits Times Ms Joyce Fang and freelance photojournalist Mr Terence Tan.

Visitors had to photograph a show presenter and the birds.  There was a professional and amateur category and winners walked away with Nikon cameras as well as vouchers from Cathay Photo and park merchandise.

These photographs will be showcased at Jurong Regional Library from 14 December 2012 to 27 January 2013.

Nikon Professional Photographer Ms C.S. Ling will also be conducting two talks on 29 December 2012 showcasing some of her iconic photographs in her career as a wildlife photographer and sharing her thoughts on photographing birds.
