1 November 2012, Singapore – Executive Chef Chan Shun Wong gets creative with rice in the month of November at Peach Blossom in Marina Mandarin.  Chef Chan presents 10 different specialties using different rice varieties in the set and à la carte menus available during lunch and dinner.

 

Stir-fried Multigrain Rice with Seafood

Peach Blossoms : Stir-fried Multigrain Rice with Seafood served in Pumpkin

A mouth watering dish of white, brown and black glutinous rice stir-fried with fresh succulent prawns and scallops served in a steamed pumpkin.  This is available as part of Set Menu A at S$68++ per person.

 

Stir-Fried Multigrain Rice with Corn

Similar to the seafood dish, this dish of stir fried white, black and black glutinous rice comes with corn.  It is available in the à la carte menu at S$20 per order for two to three people.

 

Steamed Rice with Pork Rib

Peach Blossoms: Steamed Rice with Pork Rib in Bamboo

Chef Chan marinates the fragrant and tender pork ribs in garlic, chicken powder and salt for 45 minutes before steaming with the rice for another 45 minutes and is available à la carte at S$12++ per person.

 

Poached Grouper Fillet in Rice Broth

Peach Blossoms: Poached Grouper Fillet in Rice Broth

Served with vermicelli, this dish is boiled to perfection containing all the nutrients of the rice and lightly poached grouper.   Available on the à la carte menu at S$24++ per order for two to three people.

 

Peach Blossoms is located on level five of Marina Mandarin Singapore and is opened for lunch from 12pm to 2.30pm during weekdays and 11am to 2.30pm on weekends and public holidays.  Dinner is served daily between 6.30pm and 10.30pm.
