25 October 2012, Singapore – ASUS TAICHI Ultrabook, with its slim and new innovative back-to-back dual screen design, is eye candy and sets itself apart from the rest of the hybrid tablet Ultrabook competition. But a true beauty also comes with a beautiful price tag too. The 11.6″ Ultrabook weighs 1.25 kg and will be available in Singapore at S$2,698. Dates for the shipment have not been officially announced yet, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will available before Christmas.
[UPDATE: The ASUS TAICHI is available in SINGAPORE from 3 January 2013]
The ASUS TAICHI is a super cool Ultrabook to show off its dual screen feature which is perfect for easy and interactive coffee table presentations. By closing and opening the Ultrabook, the ASUS TAICHI easily switches from tablet to laptop.
However, the inner screen is not touch enabled. So when using it in laptop mode, it will still be the conventional touch pad and keyboard navigation which may be a bit cumbersome since Windows 8 is best with touch screen controls.
