22 September 2012, Macao – The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel was one of the film location for large scale production My Lucky Star, a Chinese-US romantic comedy starring Zhang Ziyi and singer Wang Leehom who were previously filming for the same movie in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands.   Filming at the Venetian Macao started 2 September and is set to end 25 September at various iconic locations within.

The movie is directed by Hollwood director Dennie Gordon who has helmed television episodes including Burn Notice, The Office and Ally McBeal amongst others.

Beijing-born Zhang Ziyi was best know for her leading roles in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Rush Hour 2 and Memoirs of a Geisha.  She takes a dual role in My Lucky Star as both female lead and producer.  Wang Leehom is a multi-million album-selling Chinese-American pop star and acclaimed actor who has starred in the Golden Lion Award-winning Lust, Caution from Ang Lee, Little Big Soldier opposite Jackie Chan, and the self-written and director Love in Disguise.

The Venetian Macao has been the filming location for Bollywood film Teri Meri Love Story (in production), Hong Kong films All’s Well Ends Well and Break Up Club, Taiwanese TV series Summer’s Desire, and Korean TV series Boys Over Flowers.
