Catch Avenue Q At Marina Bay Sands from 27 September to 7 October

AvenueQ in Singapore 27 Sept to 7 Oct 2012

26 July 2012, Singapore  – Broadway Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q returns to Singapore with a Filipino cast from 27 September to 7 October 2012 at the Grand Theatre in Marina Bay sands.   Catch the colourful and quirky adult-minded puppets and human characters as the plot revolves around the difficulties in adjusting to early adult life.

If you have not watched Avenue Q before, you would be thoroughly entertained by Princeton the fresh-faced college graduate, Brian the out of work comedian, Trekkie an internet porn addict, Nick the good-hearted slacker, ROD the Republican, Kate the kindergarten teaching assistant and Lucy the Slut amongst other colourful types.

Do not be shocked by the slightly rude scenes too, but it is going to be all in good fun.   The story portrays the living life as a college graduate who moves into New York to follow his dreams and discovering the ever-elusive purpose in life.

If you are wondering what kind of puppets to expect in the show, there are three distinct types used.  They require unusually sturdy construction with double-stitching, reinforced seams, steel boning and custom fake fur and feathers.  There are Single-Rod puppets, Double-Rod puppets and Live-Hands puppets.
