SilkAir Flies To Hanoi From Today

5 June 2012, Singapore – SilkAir flight MI 654 departed Singapore Changi Airport today at 3.15pm and landed in Hanoi at 5.35pm for the first time.

Flying on both the Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft featuring business and economy class, SilkAir flies three times a week out of Singapore on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with same day return flights.

Hanoi is SilkAir’s second destination in Vietnam after Danang. Singapore Airlines, the parent company of SilkAir, currently flies daily flights to Hanoi as well with a total combined 10 round trip services a week.

Passengers in the inaugural flight to Hanoi received a specialty from Hanoi, candied lotus seeds while passengers flying out of Hanoi to Singapore today received exclusively produce SilkAir notebooks. Inaugural flight certificates signed by Marvin Tan, SilkAir’s Chief Executive and Captain John Lee, Commander of the flight.

Earlier this year, SilkAir also launched flights to Darwin, Australia on 26 March and Wuhan, China on 24 April.
