Scoot Reveals Inflight Meals and Entertainment ScooTV

15 May 2012, Singapore – Singapore’s newest low cost carrier Scoot unveils its inflight entertainment and inflight food and beverage onboard its flights ahead of its inaugural flight on 4 June 2012 to Sydney.

The Eat Menu is categorised into Hot Meals, Sandwiches, Snacks while the Beverages include Cold and Hot Drinks and Alcohol.    All meals are suitable for Muslim guests and vegetarian options such as the vegetarian lasagne and cheesy mushroom Panini are also available.   Adding a drink and a dessert to your meal through the airline’s ComboMeal will cost you less than purchasing them separately.

There is no indication of pricing at this point.

• Hot Meals: Nasi Briyani, Soya Chicken Rice, Beef Lasagne
• Sandwiches: Ham and Cheese Croissant, Roasted Chicken Foccacia, Cheesy Mushroom Panini
• Snacks: Cup Noodles, Chocolates, Peanuts, Fruits, Potato Chips and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream
• Cold Drinks: Mineral Water and Canned Drinks
• Hot Drinks: Boncafe’s Scoot Blend Coffee, Bontea Camomile, Bontea Pure Ceylon Tea, Robert Timms Cappucino and Robert Tims Latte
• Alcohol: Tiger Beer, Carlsberg Beer, Asahi Beer, Kiss Mix Screwdriver, Kiss Mix Gin Tonic, Singapore Sling Original

Scoot’s inflight entertainment is offered through iPads preloaded with films, television shows, music, games and others.  In the future, the airline will introduce an onboard wireless system that lets you access streaming content from an onboard library via your own personal devices.

These are iPads can be rented onboard on a pay-per-flight basis while the wireless will be included for ScootBiz passengers. In the interim, ScootBiz guests will also be provided iPads free of charge.
