18 December 2011, Singapore – Jurong Point hopes to establish itself as a suburban fashion hub with 160 fashion retailers located within 3 sprawling floor of Jurong Point 1 and 2 in 2012, where shoppers will see more fashion-centric events and programmes for the whole year.
The 750,000 sq ft Jurong Point is the first shopping mall in Singapore to offer a personal styling service to shoppers at no extra cost. Shoppers who spend $500 in Jurong Point in a day with a maximum of 3 receipts qualify. Shoppers are not obligated to buy any of the items selected during styling. This service will continue as long as there is shopper demand.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR BESPOKE STYLING SERVICE?
- Spend at least $500 within ONE day using a maximum of three combined receipts.
- To redeem the free “Bespoke Styling” service, shoppers must register for it no later than 14 days from date of receipt.
- Email the following materials to lovethelife@jurongpoint.com.sg
- Scan or take a photograph of the receipts, and ensure that the dates and expenditure are legible.
- A current or recent photograph (no more than 3 months) of yourself.
- Fill out a questionnaire which can be downloaded from the Jurong Point website (www.jurongpoint.com.sg). Shoppers are required to provide their personal particulars such as age, height, apparel and shoe sizes, a description of their current look, what kind of style or “look” they hope to achieve from this session.
- Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
- A representative from Jurong Point will contact you within 3 working days to arrange for a one-on-one styling session (about 1 hour) with the stylist.
- Appointments with stylists must be booked at least 7 working days in advance.
- Only shoppers aged 18 and above are eligible to participate in this service.
- Other terms and conditions may apply.
HOW DOES THE “BESPOKE STYLING” SERVICE WORK?
- Based on the submitted data, the stylist will pick out at least two outfits for the shopper.
- The private consultation with stylist will be held at Oasis Lounge (Jurong Point 1, #02-41, 1 Jurong West Central 2, S648886).
- The stylist will explain to the shopper their selections as well as where the selected items can be found within Jurong Point mall.
- Shoppers will get to try on the outfits to evaluate the proposed styles. (There is a changing room within the Oasis Lounge).
- Shoppers are not obligated to purchase any items selected for them as part of the styling session.
- Jurong Point will also take photographs of the styled shoppers for publicity purposes (with customer’s consent).
The panel of five Bespoke Stylists include Lionnel Lim, Verna Tan, Marcus AC, Jen Su and Vik Lim.
Jurong Point also launched an iPhone application under the same name, that provides information on Fashion and Lifestyle in an E-style guide. It helps you navigate through the shopping mall with a store locator that keeps you informed on the latest style and fashion trends, events and promotions. The app that is developed by Apostrophe Digital can be downloaded from iTunes for free.
Phase 2 of the application is in the works and you will get an improved navigation system which would be more intuitive and user friendly. The updates is slated for June 2012.
Jurong point claims to be the largest suburban mall in Singapore housing about 450 retailers, showcasing their products and services to over 5.0 million visitors a month. The revamped Jurong Point houses a range of retail zones – Market Place, Takeaway Alley, Gourmet Garden, 24 hours hypermart, Japanese Precinct, Sun Terrace and many more. In addition, there is also a 67 bay air-conditioned bus interchange, two civic community hubs and to top it all off, a 610 unit condominium nestled above the retail podium.
