23 November 2011, Singapore – Air France has announced that it will be increasing it’s round-trip flights between Singapore and Paris from 7 to 10 a week starting from 28 may 2012.
The three new flights will be using the Boeing 777.200ER aircraft which seats 247 passengers in a 4-cabin configuration: 4 seats in First, 49 Business seats, 24 Premium Voyageur seats and 170 Voyageur seats.
Business class pasengers will be able to enjoy the new Air France Business Class seats that offers a fixed shell seat. Passengers get more privacy on a seat bed that has one of the most spacious (2 metres long and 61 cm wide) and comfortable beds on the market. There are multiple positions with the new relaxation position. Legs can be extended on the new fixed footrest even during take off and landing. These seats also offer simpler and more practical controls as well as more spacious storage areas.
The aircraft is also equipped with an inflight entertainment system (IFE) that is developed exclusively for Air France and new bar areas in each cabin.
Air France has a fleet of 380 aircraft in operation. It operates 61 Boeing 777-passenger and 2 Boeing 777-cargo.
Singapore Airlines operates once daily flights between Singapore and Paris on the Airbus A380-800 with a three class configuration comprising 12 Suites, 60 Business Class Seats and 399 Economy Class seats. We checked with Singapore Airlines whether they would follow Air France’s strategy and increase the number of Flights between Singapore and Paris. A spokesperson responded ” The Airline does review its route network regularly to match capacity to demand. According to our latest statistics for October, passenger loads for Europe as a region averaged 75.7%”
