20 November 2011, Singapore – From 3 December 2011 till end January 2012, the exhibition space within the area of the skating rink at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands in front of the Rasapura Food Court will be transformed into a fantasy world of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Exhibition. Singapore will be the first overseas venue to host this exhibition, offering young and old alike a world of adventure, inspired by the legendary C.S. Lewis.
All proceeds from the sale of the admission tickets will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund which supports over 10,000 primary and secondary school students towards their education-related expenses.
The exhibition is produced by Global Experience Specialists, Inc. (GES) in partnership with Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media. You get to experience of touring scenes from the literary world of Narnia, its authentic costumes, props and set dressings.
Be delighted by the falling snow as well as other interactive and instructive elements such as:
- The White Witch’s Throne – Sit on the icy throne while you understand the impact of climate change on our planet. Will our planet could be frozen for 100 years, as in the world of Narnia?
- King Miraz’s Castle -From the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, here you can build an arch, while learning about the architectural structure and strategy involved in its design.
- Mythical Creatures of Narnia – Create your own creatures. Three stacks of rotating, square blocks stnd in three, four and six-foot configurations, each level featuring different aspects of a creature. Rearange the different levels, and you can create well-known characters from the Narnia films or mix and match to create new ones.
Ticketing Information:
- S$5 per person (free for toddlers 2 years and under)
- S$20 family package (for 2 adults and up to 4 children)
- S$2.50 per additional child (3 to 16 years)
Tickets can be purchased at The Skating Rink or at any Marina Bay Sands Box Office (Museum, Theatres, SkyPark, Retail Mall and Hotel Tower 1 and 3 lobby)
Operating Hours:
10am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday (last entry at 930pm)
No photography, videography, food or drinks are allowed in the exhibition.
