July 2011, Singapore – Singapore Telecommunications presented the Top 12 SingTel Grid Girls for the 2011 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX on 21 July 2011.   Out of the 500 ladies who participated, which is double the previous year’s entries, the 12 girls were personally handpicked by MediaCorp artistes-turned-celebrity scouts Elvin Ng and Rebecca Lim.  Previous Grid Girl finalists Shahnaz Nazimuddeen, Christina Loh and Delphine Goh also took on the role of Grid Girl talent scouts to discover girls with potential. They were styled by celebrity stylist Fong Fan and photographed by Russel Wong.

In April, the search for the Grid Girls began where scouts combed schools, popular shopping districts and clubs for the potential ladies to represent SingTel and Singapore in this year’s race.  Judges included Carrie Models MD Linda Teo, MediaCorp Publishing’s MD Jessie Sng, SingTel’s Chief of Multimedia Edward Ying and SingTel’s Director of Consumer Segment  Marketing and Marcom’s Derrick Heng.
