13 April 2011, Singapore – AsiaMalls Management Pte Ltd kickstarts Tourism Queensland’s Million Dollar Memo by being the first company in Singapore to submit a 1 minute video to vie for AUD1 million worth of incentive travel experiences to Queensland, Australia for its staff. AsiaMalls hope to bring its staff to enjoy the sun, sand and sea as well as visit the malls in Queensland to learn and adopt new and innovative initiatives that will engage shoppers in Singapore.

The campaign was launched on 18 March and entry closes 1 May 2011. To participate, companies need to create a 1-minute video that shows what makes their company great and why they think Queensland is the ultimate reward destination. For companies who submit their entry by 17 April 2011, Tourism Queensland is offering an added “Reward Yourself” incentive for companies to win a AUD50,000 “recce”.

Companies can also choose 50 iPad 2 devices which will include images and information about Queensland holiday destinations and incentive experiences to help them plan a future Queensland visit.

The competition comprises three phases:

  1. Top 50 short-list
  2. Final 20 list
  3. Incentive Challenge Event where a representative of the Final 20 companies travel to Queensland to compete in person.
