14 February 2011, Paris, France – AirAsia X’s inaugural flight of over 85% passenger load on the Airbus A340 from Kuala Lumpur landed at Orly International Airport in Paris on Valentine’s Day at 1540 hours.
With four weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Paris, guests may hop on to the network of AirAsia X onward to Taiwan, China, Australia and New Zealand or AirAsia’s short haul destinations across South East Asia and beyond. The Airbus A340 aircraft has a capacity of 327 passengers including 18 Premium FlatBed seats which are standard business class specifications of 20″ width, 61″ pitch and stretches out to 77″ in full recline position. These seats feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, reading light and privacy screen.
Parisians can enjoy low fares across the AirAsia’s network. There is a special one way all-in fare of as low as €229/RM679 from Paris to Kuala Lumpur.
AirAsia recently launched “Fly Thru” services to facilitate a more convenient transit process for connecting guests across selected destinations on the AirAsia X and AirAsia network via its hub in Kuala Lumpur. It is offering promotional connecting fares one way from Paris to Bali, Jakarta, Medan or Surabaya (Indonesia) with fares from as low as €269 from €319 to Chengdu, Tiangjin or Hangzhou (China), from €329 to Taipei (Taiwan), from €249 to Singapore, from €279 to Bangkok (Thailand) and from €439 to Christchurch (New Zealand).
The fares above include airport taxes and are available online for the booking period from 14 to 20 February 2011 for the travel period between 1 September to 10 November 2011. Flights and fares are subject to availability and are for one way travel only.
To add to this low fare promotion, AirAsia X is also offering point to point low fares within the same booking and travel period for those who prefer to travel to Kuala Lumpur and travel hop to an onward destinations later across AirAsia’s network to Thailand (Phuket), Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City), and Cambodia (Phnom Penh). Fares from Kuala Lumpur to the above destinations are offered from as low as €38 one way.
