Lonely Planet Magazine UK - June 2010 edition's review
London, 21 June 2010 – During my recent visit in London, 250 brightly painted life sized baby elephants were spotted in central London over Summer. As part of a drive to raise funds and awareness of the urgent crisis faced by the endangered Asian elephant, www.elephantfamily.org brings the elephants on a tour. They were first displayed at Westfield Shopping Centre from 21st to 30th June and the rest of the herd will be made available during the official viewing days at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on the 25th, 26th and 28th June, from 10am to 7pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
These beautiful elephants are for sale by auction and miniature versions of these elephants are also available at Selfridges, 80 Regent St, 6 Foubert’s Place and Greenwich Central Market or at the elephant parade online shop. Now I regret not buying a few back home as a momento.
